March 2016 | Capital Region, NY 518.286.2400 | yankeetrails.com 22 Friday, October 28: Today we arrive in Dallas in time for lunch on your own and a guided tour that will include the infamous former Texas Book Depository Building, home of the John F. Kennedy 6th Floor Museum. Our accommodations for the next two nights are at the Holiday Inn Dallas Market Center. Dinner is included. Saturday, October 29: We will tour AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys and their famous cheerleaders. A visit to Texas is not complete without a visit to a real Texas Honky Tonk! We will stop at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth for a peek at the nightlife and visit their famous Gift Shop. A delicious Texas BBQ dinner is included. Sunday, October 30: Our journey towards the north starts as we travel to Branson, MO and our accommodations for the next two nights at the Lawrence Welk Resort. Enjoy dinner at the Uptown Cafe as well as the Clay Cooper's Country Music Express Show at the Clay Cooper Theatre. Monday, October 31: In the morning we will take in the Doug Gabriel Show at the Doug Gabriel Theatre. Next, we delight in Irish entertainers Daniel O'Donnell and Mary Duff at the Welk Theatre. Dinner is included as well as a performance of the Broadway hit, Million Dollar Quartet with a "Meet & Greet" with cast members after the show! Tuesday, November 1: We will drive to St. Louis, MO and visit the St. Louis History Museum where the displays of the artifacts of the "Westward Ho!" movement and early settlement pioneers. Our accommodations are at the Drury Inn & Suites. Wednesday, November 2: We will continue our journey to Chicago, IL with time at Chicago's famous Navy Pier. We will also visit Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) for sweeping views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. Our accommodations are at the Chicago South Loop Hotel. A Chicago Deep Dish Pizza dinner is included. Thursday, November 3: Breakfast is included at the hotel. We will travel to Mentor, OH and our accommodations at the Holiday Inn Cleveland – Mentor. In the evening, we will enjoy a Farewell Dinner. Friday, November 4: This magnificent journey is heading for its completion, but one more stop is scheduled for you in Buffalo, NY at the Pierce-Arrow Museum including a fuel filling station designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1927, but just built in 2002! And yes, the largest collection of legendary Pierce Arrow cars is also on display. Then we will head home and the end of our adventure that surely has been "A Journey to Remember!"
