19 yankeetrails.com | 518.286.2400 Capital Region, NY | March 2016 FALL IN LOVE WITH MICHIGAN Thursday-Thursday, October 13-20, 2016 Days 8 Meals 15 PP/Double $ 1799 Travel Points 2000 Thursday, October 13: We'll board the coach with all of our fellow travelers and settle down to a pleasant ride to London, Ontario, Canada. We will visit Niagara Falls on route where you will have an opportunity to view Niagara Falls from the water on a "Voyage to the Falls" cruise (formerly the Maid of the Mist). We'll then continue on to our accommodations at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn. Dinner is included at the hotel. Friday, October 14: A full breakfast is included. In Mackinaw City, Michigan we will board a ferry to Mackinac Island. Horse-drawn carriages will take us to the Grand Hotel, an American Tradition since 1887. You will have free time upon our arrival and you can relax in one of the rocking chairs on the world's largest veranda (which is two football fields long!). You'll enjoy a five-course dinner (included) at the hotel. Saturday, October 15: Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage tour of the island ending at Fort Mackinac where you will have time to explore. The rest of the day is free for you to explore on your own. The carriages can bring you into town if you wish to browse or shop the main streets. In the evening we will savor another five-course dinner (included) with formal attire in accordance with tradition. Sunday, October 16: We will travel to The Thunder Bay Resort in Hillman, Michigan. Deluxe covered carriages and a guide will bring us on an Elk Tour inside the 130-acre elk preserve and you will get to see the majestic elk up close. Then it's on to the Elk Antler Log Cabin for a five course dinner and wine tasting (included). Monday, October 17: A full breakfast is included. We'll travel to Frankenmuth also known as "Little Bavaria". Upon our arrival, we will visit Bronner's Christmas Wonderland; as seen on The Travel Channel, where you will have time on your own for shopping. It's a shopper's dream with over 50,000 decorations and gifts. You will have time to relax upon arrival at our accommodations at The Bavarian Lodge. Dinner (included) at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Tuesday, October 18: A full breakfast is included. We will visit the Henry Ford Museum, which began as Henry Ford's personal collection of historic objects, which he began collecting as far back as 1906. Later in the afternoon we'll continue on to our accommodations at the Best Western Greenfield Inn, in Allen Park, MI just minutes from Greenfield Village. You will have time to relax and unwind after we check in. Dinner is included. Wednesday, October 19: A full breakfast is included. We will be on our way to visit historic Greenfield Village with some 80 historic structures. Your admission includes a one-day ride pass that can be used on any of the rides on property including the locomotive and Model T's! You will also receive $10 in fun money that can be used for lunch on your own. Our accommodations tonight are at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn. Dinner is included. Thursday, October 20: A full breakfast is included. We will travel to Niagara Falls where we will enjoy lunch at the Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls most famous landmark. After lunch, we will depart with many fond Michigan memories to share with our family when we arrive home!
