Our Yankee Trails motorcoach driver made sure we were on time for our flight with Jet Blue Airlines. After a smooth flight, we checked into the beautiful Chic Resort. The resort staff was wonderful, helping to settle our passengers in their accommodations before our delicious buffet dinner that evening. The next morning our whole group gathered for a pool party while enjoying drinks and a lot of fun at the Diamond Club Bar. The following day, we departed for a four-hour Dominican Farm Tour which was excellent. With the ingredients grown and harvested locally, the farm was a major producer of chocolate, rum and tobacco. Later, our group returned to the resort for a relaxing dinner. Our next day's adventure brought us to the Santo Domingo Colonial City – beautiful and historic. It was a picture- perfect day with many great photo opportunities. It was a long ride round trip, but everyone agreed, so worth it! The weather held for our following day's experience, taking a boat ride to appreciate the brilliant and breathtaking blue/green waters of the Atlantic. Plenty of food and drinks were available while our passengers enjoyed a water slide off the side of the boat into the refreshing water. One of our last days at the resort was spent relaxing by the pool before we gathered for our final group dinner at Hunter Steak House. After a good night's rest, we flew back to Logan Airport where our motorcoach driver was waiting to bring us safely home – another successful trip fondly remembered!
